CPD

Dylan William, Institute of Education, University of London: “Every teacher needs to improve, not because they are not good enough, but because they can get even better.”

The Alliance believes that all staff should be involved in a process of improvement and it is committed to fostering a positive ethos of continuous learning.

The focus of CPD is on enhancing career progression, on improving standards and enhancing the quality of teaching, learning and leadership.

We run a suite of leadership development programmes for leaders at all stages of their career: from trainee teachers and NQTs right up to headteachers and system leaders.

Our programmes are designed based on the evidence of the most effective features of CPD, focused on improving and evaluating pupil outcomes:

Personalised – built on identified needs and requirements rather than a ‘one size fits all’ approach;

Relevant – relates to evidence-based research;

Sustained – new skills and ideas need time to embed;

Supported – by coaching from experienced colleagues;

Collaborative – professional development, collaboration and expert challenge.

We are currently taking expressions of interest for the following programmes:

NPQ Middle Leadership

NPQ Senior Leadership

NPQ Headship
